I explore elements in the natural world and their interconnected relationships.
This can be elements of shoreline, rocks, trees, water or this can be farm buildings and machinery in the countryside.
Farmland and wilderness are subjects I know from exploring in my youth, and connect to on an emotional level. My compositions explore the relationships beyween fields, trees, farms, and roads and the stories they tell. My waterscapes explore similar relationships between water, rocks, trees, and sky. The evolving images from the countryside or the shoreline come together in my narratives. I'm excited by colours and shapes in my compositions and hope to share this creative exploration with the viewer.
Once I determine the composition and shapes within it, I am free to concentrate on the interplay of colours and how they express the mood that I imagine.
