Airplanes of the Western Canada Aviation Museum

Martin attended the 2014 Annual Conference of the Canadian Aviation Artists Association. The Conference was held at the Western Canadian Aviation Museum (WCAM) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At that meeting, it was decided to change the Association name to the Canadian Aerospace Artists Association. This was particularly fitting as the members had an insider's tour of Magellan Aerospace (formerly Bristol Aerospace). More information about the Conference can be found on both the Association Website and Facebook page.

The members mounted a display of their Work. Many of the pieces focused on Airplanes in the WCAM Collection. Martin submitted 4 paintings to the WCAM show.

"Plane Pulp Art" (below) was a playful take on one of the iconic Canadian Bush Planes, the Stinson Reliant. Check out Stinson Sam and Suzy below. The other submissions can be viewed on Martin's Website under Artwork/Aviation/Graphic.

Memories: Roads and Lakes : Memoires : Chemins et Lacs

In July 2014, Martin took part in a show at Galerie d'art Le Vieux Forgeron in in Stanstead, Québec. This Charming Gallery is in 2 parts, one being the Old Blacksmiths Forge, and the other being the Corner Gallery. They are located just steps from the Québec/Vermont border, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

The Vernissage at the Corner Gallery was beautifully arranged and well-attended. Martin would like to thank the Galerie for the opportunity to show his works in such an open, airy space.

The painting above was featured on the Poster for the Exhibition.
